Wedding Party

Meet a few of our favorite people - We've seriously got the coolest sibs and the BEST of the best friends.

Nghi Tran - Matron of Honor 1

My sister is quite possibly the only person who can make me laugh till I'm red in the face.  You’d never know what a comedian she is until you see her with family!  She is the hardest working woman I know and the immense love she has for her family is immeasurable.  I grew up watching her hard work flourish into success, but while doing this, she always made time to be a sister - to teach me to read, take me to the movies, allowed me to tag-along on all her activities, and cooked my favorite dish; a fried egg and soy sauce.  She is a dedicated mother and wife, a loving daughter, and the best sister who has continuously provided me support and love.

Ngan Fan - Matron of Honor 2

Many can attest to this - Ngan is the type of lady friend who will rally for you through everything.  We met in 9th grade, first week of school while I was walking to lunch, when I felt a long arm wrap around my shoulder asking me to be her friend.  I looked up and there she was, my tall fellow X-Files/Twilight fanatic future BFF.  To understand friendship, kindness, and generosity is to know her.  Ngan has said (which has resonated to all her friends) “No matter how busy you are, you will make time for those who matter to you.”  And as busy as she is with life, she has always made me feel like I matter.

Linda Hong - Bridesmaid

Who can resist those dimples and those awkward glances she gives you when she’s in an uncomfortable situation?  I have an immense admiration for Linda’s passion for EVERYTHING.  Her intellectual curiosity, persistence, and passion goes deep for her family, friendships, and work - But it can go deeper (and dark) for drink bottle labels, pimple popping, dogs, and her unwavering support for her husband’s intense love to find the rarest of rare vintage furniture.  Linda is an incredibly kind and empathetic soul who will cry with you when you’re upset or will raise a fist to defend you at your weakest. Best of all, she will also laugh with you while you witness a biker fall off his bike…

Corinne Almirol - Bridesmaid

Our friendship began when we decided to take an impromptu trip to Washington D.C.  With just a short weekend together and a shared hotel, I discovered Corinne’s adventurous spirit, natural ability to be part of a foreign environment, and penchant for cuddling (Corinne, sorry for forcing you to sleep on the other bed). Not only is she a great travel buddy, she is the coolest BEST friend.  She has helped me to crawl out my comfort zone, and yelled and laughed with me through times of anger, sadness and happiness.  At the core, she is beautifully confident and charming, empathetic, and the ride or die chick that will be there at the drop of a text.

Parada Ornelas - Bridesmaid

20 years ago, we met in Mr. Ferrero’s Honors English class and I instantly fell in love with her and her white rimmed glasses.  Our friendship has lasted through growing pains, young love, strict parents (or in her case, a strict Aunt), distance, adulthood, and death.  Parada has always been the voice of reason when life seem to be in shambles.  She is smart, pragmatic, laid back, attentive, and fierce as all hell.  Don’t mess with my girl, she’s a lawyer who’s not afraid to bite. It was fate that brought us together and most of my treasured high school memories are with her and our late friend Shirley, who is and forever our little giggle Queen.

Kevin Good - Best Man

Kevin and I go way back. In fact, I was there the day Kevin was born, ready to welcome him into the family with a great big nod and a “‘sup?”.  Since that day, we've been best friends and have shared many great memories, from renting Three Ninjas over and over at Crazy Mike’s Video to brotherly competition playing golf, and everything else in between.  Kevin is always full of surprises and is the only person that can make me cry of laughter.

Tim Pickett - Groomsman

Timmy the Tooth and I have been friends since Jr High.  Many memories were made mobbing around Yakima in Tim’s magenta Ford Taurus - to Appletree Golf Course, Caribbean Casino, and Jack in the Box.  The fun continued all through college at Washington State University (Go Cougs).  There are so many stories we can share if you ask at the wedding, but right now, “that’s all I got-ta say about that” (Forrest Gump voice).

Brett Henkle - Groomsman

Brett Teddy Henkle.  (I could’ve chosen 15 other nicknames instead). We became close friends in college but we first met in high school competing against each other in team golf.  He will readily admit that our team was better. We lived with or next door to each other for three years and took all the same classes, drudging through to a major in finance and accounting. Brett is the ultimate Coug, and we spent most fall Saturday's tailgating at the RV for the football game.

Thomas Lam - Groomsman

Affectionately known as the Boss of the Bay, Thomas and I have been friends ever since I moved to California.  We started working together at PwC back in 2008 and became friends immediately. I think it helped that we both were finished with the CPA exams and we're a couple of bad ass auditors owning the mean streets of Silicon Valley (major sarcasm). Thomas brings the swagger to the groom side.

Jake Bartlett - Groomsman

Bartleball is the epitome of an ideal roommate.  He moves in his stuff, pays rent, and then lives permanently at his girlfriend’s (now wife’s) apartment over an hour away.  I think he just wanted a weekend escape.  His personality is a little more serious, but he’s true friend with a big heart.  He is also a hell of a golfer, or, at least he was.  He once made 10 birdies in a round!
